Description:

     Thousands of millenia ago, Samyaza and a large number of the Heavenly Host were cast down from Heaven, many of them because of their open rebellion against the Creator, but others for their wanton desire for mortal women.  They were the ones who brought the unnatural beings known as the Nephilim into being through their fornication with human women, as well as giving mankind several gifts that the Creator felt that humans were not ready for, such as warfare, smithing, and the fine arts of jewelry and metal-working that eventually led to their excess and greed, and that almost destroyed their world before the Flood came to give the human race a clean slate.  Over time, some of those fallen angels, now known to humans as the Grigori, and still led by Samyaza, were able to redeem themselves in certain ways and reclaim many of their former boons and powers, all save the most desired and regretted one that they lost with their rebellion and desires: the right to enter Heaven and once more be among their own kind.

    In return, though, the Creator made sure to put those fallen angels to work performing other deeds and tasks to keep them busy and out of trouble, and as they regained their powers and abilities, so did they again bring praise and honor back to their brethren and the lore of the Creator.  Then, one fateful day, Samyaza and his war minister, Azazel, were contacted by the Creator and told to come to a requested location with all due speed.  Upon their arrival at the place, the two Grigori found themselves face to face with the living spirit of the Earth herself, the Lady Gaia, and one of her many children, the fire goddess of Hawaii known as Pele.  Standing near Pele and Gaia was a young boy, obviously a god-child of their lineage, but with both flames and shadows dancing around his feet.

    They soon discovered that the ancient god of darkness itself, Angra Mainyu, had sired this young child with Pele, and if he was not properly cared for, trained, and nutured as a child of the gods should be, he would one day assume his father's throne and be even more brutal than him.  Gaia had sought the aid of the Heavenly Host for that very thing, and the Creator chose five of his own Archangels to perform that deed - Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, and Metatron.  It was at the gentle insistence of Gabriel and Michael, however, that both Samyaza and Azazel were requested to aid them.  They had been on many of the alternate realm Earths that existed, and their experience would help ground the child's beliefs in the fact that both light and darkness were a part of his being, but it was his own will that would choose the path he would walk in the ages to come.  Needless to say, the legend and incredible power that would come to be known as Deimos, the God-Weaver of Shadows, grew up very fast and very, very skilled.

     Now, in the wake of Deimos' encounter with the alien Mari-VaNa, and his unintentional awakening of his dark self, the Ebony Balrog, Samyaza has again returned to the dimensional Earth that Deimos is now on, with the intent of watching over him and training him once more in controlling that vicious and powerful aspect of himself, and preparing him for his next encounter with his dark father, the avatar-controlled being known as Xeranad Lekard, as well as aiding him in forming a solid bond with Aria, the little sister that he never knew before his coming to Angel Falls.  Azazel and Samyaza both enjoy taking turns in watching Deimos grow into his heritage and power, but Samyaza truly considers Deimos a senior member of the Grigori, as well as truly one of the most important beings who will shape the future of the universe to come.
